Black tie ball....HELP!!!

DP and I have been invited to a black tie ball, what do I wear?! I've never been to anything like that. DP says he's checked and the women won't be wearing gowns, just dresses (so glad he narrowed it down so much! Wink)

Please could you help me find an outfit without it costing a fortune. Im 22, size 10-12. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I agree with LadyGrace, the long turquoise one looks perfect, but all 3 would pass muster.

I would say no to the second one you've linked to as it is really too short (I agree with Lady Grace), maybe to the 3rd one (about the shortest I'd go, tbh) but the first one is the best of your choices.
The one Tilly has linked to is fine as well; but I'd like to see the model standing up straight, it makes me wonder if it goes all wrinkly on one side when all the photos are of her bending in a banana shape!

You're still young enough to get away with the "prom" dresses that seem to have popped up in department stores - go and look at some and try them on, see what feels comfortable to you.
If you've never gone strapless before, it might not be the best time to start, especially if you plan on having a few drinks...
(Interesting memories of first strapless ball dress twisting round during dancing, letting one boob escape... Blush)
