swimwear to flatter 'smaller' breasts

They were always fairly small but post-DC boobs are almost non-existent (I haven't been measured recently but reckon I'm a 36AA or maybe 34A at a push.) Can anyone recommend a good swimsuit with a bit of padding? Not one of the low-cut push-up ones because there's almost nothing to push up. So I'm basically after a bog-standard speedo-type affair but with a bit of padding - anyone know if such a thing exists? (A quick google search didn't turn up much, lots of padded push-up leopard print bikinis but I really couldn't pull that off...)

I feel your pain. Except mine have always been too small for standard lingerie/swimwear.

I'd recommend the French brands if you can find them. They seem to know that not everyone (anyone?!) has boobs like stuck-on grapefruit.

Banana Moon do pretty bikinis with removable pads (more like triangular sheets than padding). They will give a little bit of shape but you'll need to be at least AA to keep them in place. Definitely for lounging/swimming sedately. I once tried to dive in and do front crawl (I'm a fast swimmer); it wasn't good!

You may find Princesse TamTam fits too (I'd definitely recommend their bras), but they aren't cheap.

M&S usually do tankinis with removable padding (again more of a sheet than padding) which is ideal for swimming, giving the illusion of some boobage but without the 'glamour model' look. But they fly off the shelves very quickly so you'll need to keep an eye on their website/stores.

And finally there are the various websites (Little Women, Max Cleavage, Know Knockers) that aim to fill this market (excuse the pun!).

Another thought - have you tried triathlon/swimming kit? I found this, again a tankini so may not be what you're after, but thought it looked refreshingly non-sporty yet practical. It may not be a tight fit on the bust, but it will give some shape and you could adjust the straps to make them better fitting.

Brilliant, really appreciate the advice Plinkerty - I had no idea about those websites. Will have a proper look tonight without DC clinging to my legs. Like the tankini but it's a bit too low-cut for me, I'm quite bony of chest and it just wouldn't suit me, def need to go for something a bit more sporty. Will keep you posted if I find anything new and interesting - thing is, I've got decent non-wired tshirt bras from M&S that give me a (very) little bit of shape (without vast amounts of padding) so I figure it can't be impossible to find a similar thing in the world of swimwear...

but that kind of style always seems to be advertised as being suitable for bigger busts.

I like the look of the Sweaty Betty swim wear (ok, I might give the silver lame a miss :o).

Another thought - Lands End. They do lots of different styles, some with underwire, some with padded cups. And they do different body lengths. I always find Speedo so short in the body that the front gets pulled down too low to be decent!
