I have just come back from the shops with four more long, plain vest tops in neutral colours. These will be worn with skinny jeans or leggings and a longish cardi, also in a plain, neutral colour.

I am soooooooooooooooo bored with myself!

I'm 34, 5'9" and a 14 (quite slim at my height?). Have a post-baby wobbly tum, which shows through anything too clingy but otherwise ok. I couldn't find a thing to wear in the shops I went in - Topshop, H&M, Zara. I felt like an old elephant in everything I tried on.

It's occurred to me that maybe I'm just too (gulp) old for these shops now. Do I need to look elsewhere? I don't really like smart workwear shops - always hated Next - and I think the Wallis type shops are for 40+ women.

Any ideas?

Thanks. I Googled them yesterday, they are nice. I also went to Sainsbury's yesterday and I'm not sure theirs compare that well to the J Brands. I didn't buy them needless to say.

A field report (big sis whisked me to a shopping centre sans DD):

Warehouse is the one for floral dresses - v-neck and round so something for all-ish shapes. Turquoise one with yellow belt my favourite. Liked quite a lot of other stuff in there too.
Dorothy P, as has already been mentioned, has some well-cut basics, particularly black dresses (nice 60s-style ponte one a bit like one I've been wearing to death for a couple of years).
And also spotted a few things in M&S either Ltd Collection or Autograph (can't remember) that am going back to try on - well-cut posh t-shirts, wide neck black cropped jumper.

Was looking for biker boots but all a bit dainty.
