Treggings - are they naff?

I wear a lot of leggings with tunic-type tops but thought I would try a heavier style of legging, ie the treggings.

I've seen some on M and S website that have good reviews but are they naff? Or not?

And on the subject, would anyone recommend a good make of leggings? I want some that don't go all baggy after one wash and slightly heavier better fabric...

i love my uni qlo ones.

'easy leggings trousers' im usually a 10, and buy the small.

they do them in denim and cotton.

velvet and cord in winter.

I really hope they are not naff.. I just bought a couple of pairs to wear. They look like smart thick leggings but I making a fashion faux pas.

I do like these M & S ones I think they would look quite cute under a little dress.

I've got some and I love them. Just look like a very thick legging. They're ace.

Dancergirl I have had a black pair from Zara before and wore them so much they went in holes, now I have bought a grey and a black pair from M&S.

Sorry, but I do think they are going to move into the Naff category pretty fast. Jeggings & Leggings fine by me, but Treggings are just too impractical. They can't suit anybody with large thighs, either.

Why do they just do skinny leg? How about something for us fatties that doesn't look like we have been shoe-horned in?

Hocus, I think the wider legged ones are called 'trousers' .

I was looking at a black pair in M&S the other day. Haven't looked at the links on other posts but they had back pockets like you'd see on jeans and were a nice thick fabric so would be flattering. Don't usually shop there (FAR too young ) but was really impressed.

I would never dream of wearing treggings with a short top, for me it is purely to wear with tunics or short shift dresses.

I just want something that doesn't cling and wrinkle at the back of the legs accentuating the fat arse above. Is this too much to ask?

Ah, 'tregs' as I like to call them . Comfy and practical - love them.

They're fine as long as you stick to the longer lengths as you would with leggings. If they have pockets then you might be able to get away with a bit shorter. As long as they're not too tight and unflattering then they are fine and I think they'll stay in until skinny styles are considered 'out'.

Outside of the UK, the only people who wear leggings and treggings and jeggings are either under 18 or over 50.

I think they are all naff, even if you fit into this age group, sorry.

I care not if they are naff, they look comfy and will let me show off my expensive long boots.
I can't do skinny jeans because the idiots only make them with with low cut waists and my arse is too big and they cut in to my stomach.
Not very worried about tops since generally long boots mean school run or shopping so I'm likely to have my coat on in public

has anyone got any treggings from M&S? Whats the sizing like? I'm dubious about what size to order (recently ordered a coat in M which apparently is 12-14 - I'm a 14 and it was MASSIVE)

I tried on some lovely ones last night at a meandi party last night www.meandi.se/en/products/105/112505.aspx and didnt buy them as £35 seemed a bit steep. Now I'm wondering if I should change my mind! They'd get a lot of wear. (They are described as slim jeans, but I'd called them treggings as they arent denim)
