those moving windows things on the graphics are pretty neat. not see nthat before.

tethersend · 01/09/2011 17:42

What things?

OP posts:
Pan · 01/09/2011 17:44

on some of them - prob the more expensive ones - you can look in detail on the boots - like a roving magnifying glass - I think the Carvela has one.

Pan · 01/09/2011 17:45

Bennet does - 2nd from bottom.

tethersend · 01/09/2011 17:46

yy they're good aren't they?

Although I prefer it when you can see them from all angles, which not everywhere does; even if they have the moving window things Wink

The first ones are very similar to a pair I already have.
I quite like the Autograph ones actually.
Carvela ones look a bit dated to me. Ruching.....leather.....hmmm.
Alaia ones - toooo high, and I'm not just referring to the price.

Anyway, I'll leave you and Pan to your kinky boot moment. Wink

I have in my mind a pair I think she would like- like this but black.

But, in truth, I'll not find any for her. She's like a nut I cannot crack.

Oh I have no idea what boots Moondog is after but these are mine from last year but in the sale.

Were still £££ but look great with jeans and dresses and lovely slim fitting over calfs.

Tethers - quick hijack - I want a polo neck jumper - fine wool and I have a short neck - any recommendations?

tethersend · 01/09/2011 22:33

Oooh, black polo- I got a good one from Oasis a couple of years ago; really fine knit, so polo not too bulky. I will let you know if I see one.

Oooh, Tether, you are a wonder. Grin

  1. Initially I thoguht frumpy but growing on me (Ernie?? wtf)
2.Yes but does sude go soggy and is kneehigh too racy for work?
  1. Yes, like em!
  2. Agree with Pan. Ruching gives me early 80s flashbacks and not in a good way
  3. Too chunky?
6 I like em but outregeous price#
  1. Ditto
  2. Me no like
  3. Me like.

Thank you very much.
I have a great shorltist there!!

festi · 02/09/2011 00:26

I like 1 3 and 6 only the rest are not very nice, I find boots with detail always look like stead and stimpsons even if they cost £300 I think they look a bit too lush.

I love the Alaia ones but definitely out of my budget. The problem I have with black knee high boots is that my mum wore them in the 70s. She looked fab in them, but in my head they scream "Mum boots" even more than their ankle equivalent.

tethersend · 02/09/2011 09:33

Moondog, you are an enigma. The ones I almost didn't include are the ones you like Grin
