Can you/have you put converse in the washing machine?

Should be fine. I've put trainers in the washing machine before and they were fine.

Glad i came across this thread as i have Converses and Vans that really need a was they are so stinky

It'll give them a new lease of life cookie! Also something that always makes shoes look brand new is new laces.

I have always done this, not sure it does the machine a great deal of good but has never harmed my lovely shoes and that's the main thing :)

Yep, I put them in a pillow case with a couple of old tea towels (that I use for cleaning windows) and they come up lovely!

I did it today with DSS mud caked converse. Came up a treat. Washed them with the dogs bed which needed freshening up - stops them banging about.

Yes, I put my red suede ones in, they faded slightly but fine otherwise.

Yes, it works really well, I usually put them in with a bath mat or two to drown out the noise of the shoes thumping around.

I've never thought of washing them!
