I wore a dress to a wedding yesterday and it needs a clean but I want to wear it next weekend but were away all next week (day here and there) so wont be able to get it dry cleaned.

Has anyone machine washed duchess satin (it's a coast dress) and it been fine ?

No - you could easily ruin it.

Can you not just air it?

No it needs a clean, theres a few spillages on it - white wine.

I really wouldn't risk it - and I happily machine was on the delicate cycle silk and cashmere.

No dry cleaners who do a 2 hour service near you?

Near me yes but were leaving tomorrow and they are closed. We are visiting various relatives in tiny villages around Dorset, Devon and Cornwall.

Looks like Ill have to wear something else Sad
