I've put this on my other underwear thread but I thought it was a specialist job for the BKC.

I need a balconette bra but whenever I've tried them on they are too 'spilly', my norks look like they're making a bid for freedom . I need a balconette that gives good shape, feels secure and with minimal 'milkmaid' effect. I'm a 32E/F. Thanks

nice choice here
but I think you have to get one of the nice bra measuring ladies with cold hands in big shops to help you out there

GingerBearingGifts · 08/12/2005 09:41

Bravissimo dear - their hands are warm.
I bet you'll look knock out in that Roger mouet lookilikey dress.
Those heels would kill me
Office party down the Dog n Duck??

NomDePlumPudding · 08/12/2005 09:41

I have had a look on figleaves but it's hard to know what the shape will be like, lots of the models, modelling them have D cup breasts and/or falsies which don't 'sit' the same as natural norks.

Pleaaaaaasssseeeee, I don't wanna haul my arse around shops being felt up by menapausal shop assistants

I'm hoping so, Ginge. It's DH's work's doo, quite a high profile affair, so have to look reasonable. I have a reputation as a trophy wife to keep up, dontcha know ?!

Sorry for the random commas in the figleaves post

at Trophy Wife.
Is your real name Chardonnay?

NomDePlumPudding · 08/12/2005 09:50

Rofl. I've never thought of my norks as fluid before ! They're not floppy, but they aren't implant firm either. They hold their shape when bra-less and haven't dropped post DD (luckily). They are as a firm as naturally generous boobs can be, I think.

BTW, not planning on bending over at the office party

Oh no, Ginge, Moet DeVyne, darling

have you got a john lewis nearby .....imho they are better and more expert than m&s and have prettier things in whopping sizes. freya and fantasie ones are good.

FlameRobin · 08/12/2005 09:53

Any idea what the Next ones are like? I ordered a couple, but they were too big and I can't remember what they had in the way of balconette, but it might be worth a look.

Err on the smaller side and order an E though.

NomDePlumPudding · 08/12/2005 09:57

lol @ whopping sizes

Whenever I've been into Next, they seem to stop at a D, or DD if they're feeling generous. I don't like Next online.

Nearest JL is Solihull, about 45 mins away. Might try them. Although last time I got measured I was told I was a 30G (Contessa) and a 34DD (marks&sparks). The Contessa bra was cutting me in half and the marks' bra was spinning around my back it was so loose ! Consequently, I'm suspicious of bra fitters

OP posts:
GingerBearingGifts · 08/12/2005 10:22

any of these shops close by? They are v good at fitting

FlameRobin · 08/12/2005 11:07

You can only get the next larger sizes online/in catalogue.

SpringCrimboTurkey · 08/12/2005 11:36

Where is dress NDP - Have been wondering what you decided on.
No idea re: the bra sorry - am useless at that sort of thing and my norks usually do spill out

Have you seen the new bra/undies shop in Worcester, NdP? Its in REindeer Court, and supposedly stocks from AA to J cups. Haven't been in myself yet, but might be worth a try?

NomDePlumPudding · 08/12/2005 12:23

Freya at figleaves, I have two really nice balconettes, also Ophelia by panache lovey style although the fine straps do itach after one or two hours, but good for a fancy night out.
I am 36E/F so know exactly what you mean.
I searched high and low am truly happy with them!

Epiffany · 08/12/2005 12:28

this one
freya rio

NomDePlumPudding · 08/12/2005 12:29

i'll check those out, thanks piff

the trouble with having a narrow back and big norks is that most manufacturers/stockists only go up to DD, E, F etc from 34". So frustrating

OP posts:
Epiffany · 08/12/2005 12:31

the rio is in 32E and F
