How can I work out what 'season' I am?

I've been reading the threads about being an 'autumn' or a 'winter' etc with interest. Unfortunately, I can't afford to have my colours done professionally - we are seriously skint - so I want to try and work some of it out myself. Can anyone recommend a book or a website? Are there any rules?

I have dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. My skin is quite pale - I don't tan very easily at all (am sporting a bit of Olay Touch of Sunshine at the mo, to try and avoid being mistaken for a zombie) and I blush quite easily. Is that enough info?!

Plus I have memories of my mum and her mates in the 80s going to Colour Me Beautiful and then ONLY wearing terracotta or whatever from head to toe forevermore

I'm similar to the OP - dark hair and eyes but very sallow pale olive skin.

Hi, I had my colours done quite a while ago but I remember the key thing being how the colours reflect on your face - so "your colours" even out your skin tone and if you have bags under your eyes (I do!) they becomes less noticeable. When I had my colours done I sat in natural light and the woman draped white material over one shoulder and black material over the other - I could instantly tell that both these colours did me no favours! Then she drapes loads of other colours over me to get the colour palette. Now when I'm shopping I just hold things against my face to see if the colour works for me and helps disguise the bags under my eyes! I was also told that hair colour doesn't affect your colours - I asked as I change my hair colour quite often. Hope this is of some help!

I would love to know mine as well, I have mid brown hair which currently is blondey in the light, as it is summer, I have pale skin with a slightly yellowy hue (possibly imagined) and blue eyes. I can wear blue and often wear pink whether it suits me or not... I am clueless though colours wise!

If you goggle "colour analysis" several sites come up, most of them with "quizzes" where you can sort of get an answer.Not sure its 100% reliable but I had a fair idea what I was and each of these has told me Im right

Great thread and something I've always wanted to know too. Just found this which might be useful. I took an online quiz, and then asked my wise big sister, and they both suggest I'm an Autumn so probably something in it. Which season did you turn out to be ruby

According to that website I think I must be an autumn of sorts. Not keen on the flow chart (it starts by asking you if you look good in one colour or another - that's what I'm here to find out) but the descriptions put me at either a Deep Autumn or Warm Autumn.

I'd love to know this but on every site I read I never quite fit the descriptions. I guess you need to just start remembering which colours you get complimented on
