Are these boots horrible?

I want very casual mid calf boots and I can't make up my mind if these are nice or totally horrible. And I think I may be too old for them (mid 40s).

I think they are alright.

I like the OPs ones best. The ones that madame posted are very granny.

You have me worried now. I bought a pair of heeled boots last week and now I think my taste may be so horrific people will point at me in the street and laugh.

I'll try again. I don't have a weird obsession with those other boots, honesstly.

The ones in the OP are awful, and I have bad taste in shoes. A pair I onced likes and linked to were called 'Lesbian Troll Clogs'

I'm not crazy about any of those madammecholet, most are out of my price range too. (You made me buy a Lucia remember? bread and water for me til Christmas!)

Megatron - I like your second choice much better. Actually I think the first ones could just about be okay if you could tame or trim the small animal currently living in them.

Has anyone bought asos own brand shoes/boots? How does their sizing come up? And quality? Their dresses are a bit hit and miss.
