hello i've recently bought \link{http://store.americanapparel.co.uk/rsas317.html\this item} and obviously the reviews aren't good (just read them!) with regards to washing the item.

Any suggestion on what i should do for it to not go completely out of shape!

I'd wash it however the label suggests and then lay it out flat to dry rather than hang it and have it stretch.

The reason why things like this go out of shape or stretch usually is because they are too wet. Make sure if you wash it on a delicate setting it has spun enough..def dry flat..hanging will make it turn into mr tickle. Furthermore if you wash it according to the instrctions and it doesn't work , Take it back. ALso use a liquid detergent to be on the safe side and wash seperately if you want to be super safe.

Post in the Good Housekeeping section. I once got an excellent tip about removing oil stains with Fairy liquid!

when you get it ou of the machine get rid of excess water by laying it flat on a towel and then roll the towel up like a sausage (quite tight) then unroll and dry flat. I used to work for a v expensive knitwear company and this was the advice we were trained to give customers, it does usually work
