Floaty above knee dress-bare legs, leggings or jeans?

I'm 40, bought a floaty dress from soda mix (Cecile-sorry not sure how to do link) on holiday for a surprise night away (had packed nothing suitable). Wore it bare legged after a few drinks in our room and felt great, but now I'm home with people I actually know, I'm wondering if it needs leggings, or jeans. My only leggings are full length and when I tried them with the dress it looked like I was half way through changing outfits! My legs are ok but pale and I look more like 35.

Help! Also if I did wear it with bare legs, what shoes would go?

It looks like it'd be fine with bare legs in summer and 3/4 length leggings/thick tights boots and cardi in autumn/winter.

Shoes? Casual pumps or wedges I reckon.

Cute dress btw.

Is it this one? www.sodamix.co.uk/FRILL

It depends. Does it fall above your knee, on your knee, below your knee?

If you wear it with flats (e.g. pumps) you could wear ankle leggins in navy blue.

Otherwise, think of it as a tunic and wear it with leggins or tights, calf boots and a cardigan. Something like this: chicisimo.com/fashion/outfit/tally-weijl-leather-jacket-with-zara-floral-dress/

Thanks, I thought a bargain at £25. it lies just above my knee. I have navy suede pumps, so that would do. So for tonight, I could wear it bare legged with flat pumps and black cardi so I don't freeze ?(middle aged concern)

I have a dark brown suede jacket, so will try chicisimo look when it gets colder Smile
