Elusive green pencil skirt

tethersend · 21/08/2011 19:39

Have been looking for one FOREVER

So many 'nearlys' out there...

So, I need:

Size 16
Not jersey
Split at the back or side, not the front
High waist preferred
Green

It should be so easy... instead, I feel like I want to smoke crack.

Can anyone help?

Have you still not found one? Your green pencil skirt and my red dress seem to have been eluding us both for years now! :)

Will have a gander.

tethersend · 21/08/2011 19:44

Grin I know... Remind me of your red dress requirements and I'll look for that too Smile

Do you want green or sulphur Grin

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 21/08/2011 19:47

Red but not too red; maybe silk or cotton; flippy shape rather than bodycon; not too long; scoop or v neck ideally.

This sort of shape maybe

tethersend · 21/08/2011 19:51

Blimey, I don't mind that Boden one, but it's not green. Also not worth waiting 14 weeks for- do people really do that?!

Will keep my eyes peeled for red dress- but I do remember the search now... the horror, the horror Grin

Totally not what you want but it could work with killer shoes

pointydog · 21/08/2011 19:59

pretty red dress

tethersend · 21/08/2011 19:59

I saw that one and was tempted, but it's no use- I want pencil.

Are you still working at the school that dare not speak its name? I saw this dress and thought of you, as it would confuse the hell out of them Grin

har - no, I don't think anyone would wait 3 months for a skirt

FoundWanting · 21/08/2011 20:00

Bizarrely, this is the first link my search came up with.

I don't follow blogs. And I don't do 'crafts'. Hmm

Anyway, looks like someone else gave up on the search for the perfect pencil skirt and had to make their own. Could you do this? Or out-source to a dress-maker?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 21/08/2011 20:04

Ha - That Ted baker dress is great; am v tempted! :)

The FC one is cute but that shape combined with the jersey fabric would be awful on me, I'm afraid - it would make my norks look huuuuuuuuuuge.

tethersend · 21/08/2011 20:10

Red dress 1

Red dress 2

Red dress 3

Red dress 4

All of which will be wrong Grin

pointydog · 21/08/2011 20:12

this one looks pink though

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 21/08/2011 20:13

Green but it's tartan!

tethersend · 21/08/2011 20:15

I wish I could make clothes. That pattern looks perfect.

Anyone know any dressmakers in London?

It's orange not red but the nicest I've found so far - what do you think?

Thanks Pointy but that one would be too long and frumpy on me.

tethersend · 21/08/2011 20:19

VERY nice

FoundWanting · 21/08/2011 20:20

I think I'm going to get that skirt in Prince of Wales check, Remus.

tethersend · 21/08/2011 20:20

NOW WHERE'S MY GREEN PENCIL SKIRT?!

OP posts:
pointydog · 21/08/2011 20:21

that one's gorgrous, remus

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 21/08/2011 20:24

Will try the orange one on and let you know - could be good or could just wash me out completely. Oh and I have dark purple hair at the mo - would that be a disaster? :)

FoundWanting · 21/08/2011 20:27

Lovely colour

FoundWanting · 21/08/2011 20:28

Whoops! Slit at front. Sorry.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 21/08/2011 20:29

How rich are you feeling?
