Non Brand Handbags?

Hello. My dear friend purchased a leather handbag for my birthday. It's a gorgeous pink handbag, the design is unique and it's sooo soft. I love it, the only thing is, it hasn't got a brand name on it, it's not a designer handbag. The logo inside is blank.
Does it matter that it is non brand? Im so grateful that she bought it for me, and im definately going to be using it. Has anyone ever bought a handbag that has no logo ( name) associated with it? Does it even matter anyway?

god I have loads of bags that I love, use to death but are unbranded. The oly thing that matters is that you like it :o

I have loads.

wtf?

HarrietSchulenberg · 21/08/2011 19:10

You're joking, surely? It's a bag. You put things in it. 98% of the population couldn't tell the difference between a YSL bag and a tesco carrier, and they wouldn't care either.

Someone, somewhere has had to draw a picture to decide what the thing should look like, that's what designers do. So if it really bothers you just tell people it was created by an unknown and as yet undiscovered talent.

Lordy, just enjoy putting your stuff in it and taking it out again.

This sounds like a journalist type question.

No not a journalist question, maybe it just sounds like it now that you have said it, it does sound like that. But no im just curious.

In that case enjoy the bag.

cruelladepoppins · 21/08/2011 20:41

Ha - I hate labels and will go out of my way not to have a "recognisable" (somehow to me = common) brand. All bags are "designed" as Harriet said.

Popcorn anyone?
I have branded and non-branded, do you mind which you eat?

NorksAreMessy · 21/08/2011 20:46

I am with cruella, I tend to like anything LESS if it has a brand name plastered all over it.

Telco bags have Tesco written on them. That is a HUGE brand, but I am not proud to carry the bag ( I take my own :))

Who really gives a shit? Sorry to be crude, but why would the lack of a brand matter to you? Are you worried people might point and laugh? It sounds like you like the bag fine well.

The only 'branded' thing I own - as in, you can see who made it from the outside - are my running shoes, and that's because being a size 10 I didn't have that much choice for aesthetics.
