New Look do lots of styles in a 9.

HellonHeels · 19/08/2011 12:17

www.lkbennett.co.uk

www.topshop.com

Both have lots of styles.

www.johnlewis.com - range of styles in a 42 / 9

Hellishday · 19/08/2011 12:23

A 42 is not a 9, you need a 43.
Try Crispins shoes in Chiltern Street, Long Tall Sally, Tall Girls mail order, AFter EIght shoes in Kingston/bath, also mail order.

HellonHeels · 19/08/2011 12:30

L K Bennett size guide says 9 = 42

Topshop doesn't specify for 9s, but has 8 = 41 so presumably 9 = 42

I think there was a shoe size debate on here a few days ago. Trying them on is probably the way to go.

apple99 · 19/08/2011 12:42

Aldo, most of there shoes and boots go upto a size 9.

PlumSykes · 19/08/2011 12:56

Up to a 10 here

madammecholet · 19/08/2011 14:07

I had a rant on here earlier this week as a shop assistant claimed a 41 was an 8. Pah. I am a size 8/42, so in my opinion a 9/43. BUT, sizes differ so much by shop I will always try both.

try duo boots

EPPP · 19/08/2011 14:23

Lands End, a US 10 fits me an 8/42 so a US 11 may be right for you.

Office go up to a size 9 in some styles.

bounty007 · 19/08/2011 21:55

Thanks ladies, I'm a 43 and get infuriated by silly shop assistants offering a 42 or 41 Confused! Topshop 42 is too small, any more ideas or links to previous threads greatly accepted.....the tranny shop tip from poncey is so true...there is more choice for size 9 Trannys than me Sad

LK Bennett doesn't even do any boots in a 42 FFS! Do big footed girls not need boots??!!

PlumSykes · 19/08/2011 22:13

Bounty, all of these come in a 43.

MrsRobertDuvall · 20/08/2011 09:02

Duo definiteltpy for boots.

midoriway · 20/08/2011 09:07

www.large-size-designer-shoes.co.uk/Shop_by_Size/

as a size 44, this is my sole supplier of pretty (pretty big) shoes

AmberLilly · 20/08/2011 22:41

The next shop assistant who offers me a size 41 shoe as an 8 is going to find themselves bludgeoned to death with heel of said shoe.

Why we be made to feel like an Ugly Sister every time we need a new pair of shoes?!

No doubt I'm duplicating a rant made many times over... just warming myself up for the boot search season Blush

MrsRobertDuvall · 21/08/2011 09:03

Oh me too AmberLilly..hate it when they widen their eyes and gasp "a 9?" and suggest you try a 7.
I was in Clarks the other day with dd who is an 8, and asked where their size 9 range was.
They don't have a separate section for it, and couldn't find the book with all the styles in. And she didn't know which styles went up to 9. They lose so much trade that way.
Mind you, having looked online at the 9's they are hardly inspiring. Fine if you tread your own grapes and forage for mushrooms. Not exactly cutting edge.

cremegg · 21/08/2011 09:52

Dorothyperkins.co.uk does size 9 now, not sure if in store and love duo for boots :)

msduck · 21/08/2011 21:29

I use Brantano as the shoes are all out, arranged by size. This means I don't fall in love with a pair to find they aren't avvailable in my size & I don't have to deal with a dainty footed, sniggerin sales assistant.

mippy · 21/08/2011 21:50

I take a 42. I gave up on Topshop after repeatedly being told 'Oh, we never get those sizes in because they don't sell. But we've got a 7, why don't you try that?' Well, because I like being able to feel my toes.

Some Clarks shoes go up to a 42, and I like their ballet flats a lot.

midoriway · 30/11/2011 20:24

I'm resurrecting this thread , because my favourite big shoe shop is having a massive sale, wickedly good sale, shoes retailing at 160 euros going for 50 quid kind of sale. I've just bought three pairs of shoes, profligacy for someone who is lucky to buy a pair a year.

smugtandemfeeder · 30/11/2011 22:22

hush puppies also now do all their shoes in a 9 and have some very nice things these days. Also if you have an ipad or iPhone, the app style Shop can search for all size 9 shoes for women from hundreds of shops. it brings up thousands of size 9 shoes and has opened up a whole new world for me.
