the shipping is $30 but will i get taxed on that from customs? really don't have a clue

Look into the VAT charges that you might get charged in the UK if you order goods from the USA. I ordered some clothes from Talbot's USA and ended up having to pay some outrageous VAT charge when they were delivered.

You wouldn't get taxed on the shipping but on the value of the goods you purchase, which is declared on the customs form with the delivery. You'd pay the VAT you would have paid had you purchased the item in the UK. Or something close to that.
