Good pale nail varnish

Can anybody recommend a pale, pearly nail varnish. The ones I have tried just look all streaky.

Are you using a base coat and a top coat? How many coats are you applying?

I like the one that came free with the recent Marie Claire mag.

Or Revlon are good for cheaply priced but pretty decent ones.

for pale colours, Essie are the best
