I really like the Monsoon coat suggested on there, but then I remembered that I will be heavily pregnant over the winter this year. With DS I was pregnant in Spring/Summer, so didn't ever have to think about it, but what do you do about winter coats and bumps as coats are quite expensive and it won't be worn for long?

Any ideas?

ebay!

I got a lovely maternity coat last autumn/winter for £8. Got loads of compliments even though it did originally come from Next DS arrived at the end of December, was very grateful for that coat in all the snow and cold!

I bit the bullet and bought a Topshop winter coat. As luck would have it, I was pregnant again over winter and didn't feel too bad about spending the money. I would've thought there are many hardly worn coats on Ebay if you don't mind pre-worn.
That may just be my first Ebay item that I sell i time for winter.

I also wore a big chunky knit poncho for most of Autumn which still gets worn now.

I have a black swing style cashmere Windsmoor coat I got off Ebay for £30, in a larger size. It was great for my last pregnancy and I didn't quite manage to get rid of it, so will wear it this time too. Also have a trench, Gap Maternity, for Autumn (also was off Ebay)

i had a big duffel coat which i could button over my bump, then button over DD in the sling, and i still wear it to the rugby or when it's freezing with a fleece underneath.
