Who loves leather handbags? And how much would you pay for a genuine leather handbag?

Hello. We're going to move this thread into Style & Beauty now - that's a better place for it, we think Smile

I am an addict.

I won't confess how much I spend, but £150+ on a decent leather one is fine as it will last. I also prefer buttery soft leathers to the hard leather in the high street which comes from far east, therefore I always try and buy from european brands or brands which use Italian/british/european leathers...Smile

I love leather handbags. I don't mind fabric bags but I hate faux leather; it doesn't look or feel as nice and the coating chips off over time. A good leather bag should last a lifetime. That said, I don't usually spend a fortune. I quite like bags from places like Topshop and River Island, and pay about £50-80. I tend to just have one bag on the go at a time (apart from the odd evening bag for weddings etc), and replace every couple of years.

I do have a Mulberry <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=mulberry+blenheim&um=1&hl=en&client=firefox-a&sa=N&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&biw=1280&bih=900&tbm=isch&tbnid=gmrpcJ2pDqX5FM:&imgrefurl=monoclip.jp/fashion-bag/monodtl/1456/&docid=eRRMCAXAlRukxM&w=240&h=240&ei=TvxETvDLDIex8gPS-rSlBg&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=569&page=1&tbnh=138&tbnw=138&start=0&ndsp=28&ved=1t:429,r:16,s:0&tx=70&ty=75" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Blenheim though (small shoulder bag) that DH bought me when he got a bonus at work. It's lovely :)

My dream bag would be a Mulberry <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=mulberry+roxanne+chocolate&um=1&hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&biw=1280&bih=900&tbs=isz:l&tbm=isch&tbnid=FMIwm4Q4AaGgwM:&imgrefurl=www.hotukdeals.com/for-sale-trade/for-sale-mulberry-roxanne-bag-in-ch/242141&docid=pGzEtnvEVcRP2M&w=1024&h=768&ei=1PtETo7gBZCp8AOV-eDOBg&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=646&vpy=132&dur=491&hovh=163&hovw=217&tx=137&ty=106&page=1&tbnh=131&tbnw=175&start=0&ndsp=33&ved=1t:429,r:3,s:0" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Roxanne or Dior <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=dior+gaucho&um=1&hl=en&client=firefox-a&sa=N&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&biw=1280&bih=900&tbm=isch&tbnid=va7woxD3rbPxSM:&imgrefurl=forums.thefashionspot.com/f56/new-bag-purchases-october-2005-july-200-a-33989-335.html&docid=7jR6EutZZ7AZzM&w=280&h=340&ei=8vtETorAFsa48gOOkvyrBg&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=470&vpy=232&dur=448&hovh=142&hovw=116&tx=100&ty=158&page=1&tbnh=142&tbnw=116&start=0&ndsp=35&ved=1t:429,r:9,s:0" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Gaucho which they sadly don't make anymore.
