baggy pants
old t-shirts
old bags/ clutches

anything that doesn't quite fit that you're keeping in the hope of fitting in the future - stuff it, either you won't lose those few lbs, or you will and in which case you'll deserve new clothes for your efforts

Anything that doesn't go with anything else.
Anything you haven't worn for several months.

anything faded or in need of repair that you never got round to doing.

Stuff you've not worn for a year - clothes, accessories, bags, scarves.

Anything with a hole in it or stain on it.

Ta! Right getting there. What else has no place? Fleeces - keep or go? Practical but ugly handbags? What"s next?

Keep one fleece if you ever go camping, otherwise get rid.

Sell handbags at carboot and buy practical and beautiful one with the proceeds. Or just keep your favourite and get rid of the rest.
