Embarrassing purchase that you daren't admit to anyone

So - have name changed for this - has anyone bought anything recently in a bizarre rush of blood to the head and then thought - "oh my giddy aunt - what on earth was i thinking"

Getting into the spirit of a fancy dress party - i went and bought a dress made of rubber. Blush. Yes - rubber, oh my god i have said it. What on earth was I thinking. So has anyone else bought anything as utterly utterly impractical, useless, dodgy or downright daft lately. And yes I look like a sausage. Looking for some sisterly support here, and no - i don't think i will attach the link from the shop - cos they all have amazing figures.

Purplebuns, thanks - I acutually do like it - hence it shouldn't be an "what was I thinking" type purchase but it is still an "embarrasing" purchase in that if I posted it on here saying "what do you think" most people would say "WTF its a chav brand" and "its hideous" and "its overpriced" at best but if you see my "should I panic buy coral" thread which is currently active it would make more sense as I've been "draped" as a "bright spring" in seasonal colour analysis.

I know, is a fecking dressing gown god help me, get a grip, etc.

I was sorting donations for a jumble being held to raise money for a kid's charity.

I mentioned to the other volunteers around me that I wasn't going to put out a handbag that was embroidered with the legend, " Sexy girl " as it wasn't appropriate for a children's event.

One of the volunteers went red and said, 'what if a child had donated it?'
I said it was still inappropriate Hmm
Turns out it was from her 10 year old daughter Shock

PSML at this thread. I was going to say a nasal hair trimmer Blush

In my defence- for this thread- I nearly bought a rubber T-shirt once I was trying it on and I looked HOT. Then I noticed that the mirror of the dodgy shop was set up so that the very dodgy old shop-keeper could see me in my entirety as I changed. This was way before net-a-porter; when one had to go into highly insalubrious places to purchase rubberwear!

I confess. A pink leather biker jacket.

Wrong wrong wrong. Blush (I did wear it to a 'Grease' fancy dress once though)
