Recently lost 2 stone (still have a couple to go) and have notice that my face has become really skinny....
Is there anything I can do to make my face less "caved in"?
anything??

Put on weight? Grin

seasidesister · 06/08/2011 21:48

Grin ha, it looked lovely when I was pregnant and 15 stone.

sigh.

Was thinking more along the lines of make up that can make it look fatter? change of hair style. I dont know. Anything really...

Stealth boasting :) (Jealous emoticon)

Butterflybows · 06/08/2011 21:51

I'd be suprised if make-up does the trick tbh. The bigger the hair, the narrower your face will look (obviously).

May I cheekily ask what sort of age you are?

seasidesister · 06/08/2011 21:54

Not stealth boasting.. my face has CAVED IN and looks all skull like... Sad

early 40s
skinny hair?

I've recently dropped 2 dress sizes (now a 10 - heart break diet) and am 39 but my face hasn't 'caved in' as you describe. Many women get 'hollow' cheeks by age 40 but what worries me is you say you have 2 stone to go?

seasidesister · 06/08/2011 22:04

Exactly thats what worries me too.

One of my friends got a very thin face when she lost weight, but once she hit goal and stabilised, it sort of filled out again, like her body was adjusting? That might happen, especially if you have lost it quickly.

seasidesister · 06/08/2011 22:11

God I hope mine fills out again, it just looks weird having a fat body and a skinny face.

If anyone can think of anything I can do to make it look better in the mean time Id be grateful.

Skinny hair? Do you mean have a style that is the opposite of 'big' hair? (I've got skinny hair as in fine and lank!)

I've heard when we get to 40, we have to choose between our face and our bodies [Joan Collins, I think]

I'm sorry I don't have anything helpful to suggest. Think yourself lucky you haven't got my big nose! (I used to wear a paper bag over my head but got irritated by the rustling Grin )

seasidesister · 07/08/2011 13:17

I have skinny hair in that its straight and just "hangs" and never holds a style, it could only be big with a perm. Recently got a fringe cut and it hangs in strings..

Face v Figure Hmm Joan Collins didnt have to make that choice tho, bet shes had loads of fillers (which Im seriously considering saving up for now that I have a skull face and blobby body)

Im off to buy a paper bag in the meantime Grin

If it doesn't fill out again (it should I would think) you can have Facial Recontouring

Scroll down for pictures

Otherwise, just suck it up! There comes a time you have to decide, face or arse? Grin

Thanks for the link TattyDevine
