I have been getting a few spots for quite a while now, but the scares and blemishes dont seem to disappear very well... any ideas to help this?

I'm thinking of a microbasion facial? but its very expensive... currently i use daily microfibant by dermalogica but doesnt seem to get rid of the scars...

Bio-oil, twice a day.

A peel, or 10% AHA (go to dermie)

I use the Palmers cocoa butter solid stuff, comes in a tub. Full of vitamin e and very good for fading marks and scars. Always does the trick!

Microderabrasion worked wonders for my blotchy complexion.

Another vote for Bio-Oil too....

would nt bio oil and coco butter make my skin really oily??

No, Bio-oil is very light and easily absorbed. Works wonders on my skin, which is crap.

I agree. After years of bad skin, I discovered that a light moisturiser or oil actually reduced my oiliness and spots.

Have a look at this article. primped

It's an Aussie blog so im not sure if all the products are available in the UK but gives good advice.

oops didnt mean to post so soon.

I mix this with some cleansing lotion or basic facial wash, its very good and my skin feels amazingly soft afterwards.

I get brown coloured marks from spots once they've gone and this has deffo helped..its v cheap too!

travailtotravel · 06/08/2011 11:25

A second for light moisturiser. I have a cupboard full of expensive lotions and potions, but the only ones that are even worth bothering with are if feeling flush - Clinique Dramatically Different. Most often - the really basic Olay!

Off to find some bio oil. That and the tweezerman thingy should keep me occupied for hours!

I use this after my spots have gone down. It really fades the redness and helps prevent scarring. I use their drying lotion to help zap spots. Their stuff really does work.

I've been using the cheap wilkinsons version of bio-oil, bout £3.50 a bottle. I developed adult onset acne last year, medications got it almost under control, and this has really helped fade the redness.
