How to do a French Manicure?

I have grown my nails to a respectable length and thought I'd try a French Manicure.

Trouble is, the nail tip whitener is like clumpy Tipex Hmm

Can anybody recommend a one that isn't like clumpy Tipex?

My nails look okay, but the whole process was a bit stressful as I was frantically trying to paint the tips before it went all thick and horrible.

have a look on you tube, there was actually a post about this the other day with a fab video on it:)

i have cheap ones i bought from semi-chem,and they are fab, i just done mine the other day and they have lasted a full 3 days:)
if the one you have is a good make.stick a little nail varnish remover in it and shake, then stick it in the fridge, this should revive it :)

It's a new one. Natural Collection by Boots. I just bought it to experiment.

I shall look on Youtube.

I bought a white tip colour in a felt tip ptn type thing. It is much easier.

I would recommend an 'American manicure' set. I found this on ebay and it looks great. You apply it horizontally, doing the base/pink part of your nail first, let this dry for a bit and then apply the white tip.
The finished result looks a bit like gel nails as the base is a sheer pink.
