New boots - will I look stupid?

DD (aged 5) has these boots.

I bought these boots. It is only now that they have been delivered that I have really realised how similar they are. DD and I don't generally dress as clones of each other, but I am a bit worried that we will look like some wierd matchy combo if we both wear them at the same time. However my boots are really, really comfy and actually fit my calves (which is a miracle).

WWYD?

Oh wear them. No one will notice. And I wish I had size 4 feet because your daughters ones are a STEAL at that price

JemimaMuddledUp · 04/08/2011 16:37

I wish I had size 4 feet too - mine only just fit into the size 8 Clarks ones!

Actually I am hoping to persuade DH that I haven't actually bought new boots, I have just fed Baby Bio to DD's ones. Do you think it will work?

Yes, tell him that Smile

They are both practical great boots for the winter that all that matters I was dreading comething awful with a heel popping up for your daughter but no they're great I might buy a pair myself Xx

JemimaMuddledUp · 04/08/2011 19:48

Thanks Grin

No, love her, DD is a complete tomboy and so would (thankfully) turn her nose up at heels.

We walk a lot (to school, work etc) and so we need something pretty sturdy, but I want to look nice too!

Both boots are lovely, and she will have grown out of hers by next year so I wouldnt worry about it.

Thehusbandsatcricketagain · 04/08/2011 22:14

oh - Jemima-these boots for you are lovely, just the ticket for the autumn/winter with skinnies, minis, skirts, just anything really :o

QueenOfAllBiscuitsandMuffins · 04/08/2011 22:16

Oh very jealous I want exactly those boots just in a darker brown. I would not notice if you and your daughter were wearing the same boots!

moonstorm · 04/08/2011 23:01

DD will grow out of hers before long, yours will last a few years...

JemimaMuddledUp · 05/08/2011 11:05

Actually I am hoping that DD won't grow out of them very quickly Grin She is very small and has so far grown very slowly (you watch, she'll have a growth spurt now I've said that!) The smallest size in the boots is a bit too big for her, but with insoles and thick socks they fit fine. So I'm hoping that they will last a while as she can take the insoles out and wear thinner socks as her feet grow!

I am in love with my boots. I got 20% off them too with a code I found on MN which was nice!

Ooooohh, I LOVE them! Might have to indulge, especially with that code ...

Jemima, I got those (Clarks) boots in black last winter, very comfy, slightly waxy,so quite waterproof. I'm also an 8 with big calves, I got them when I finally realised that Flys were never going to fit.
