Is it just me, or do chiffon pleated skirts make you look really wide?

I bought a lovely nude chiffon pleated maxi skirt but I swear it adds inches to me. I haven't a full dress mirror so I can't be sure.

Not just you. I think they're really really unflattering unless you're super skinny with no hips. They look great on models but I know they look awful on me.

It's not just you! Definitely have to be tall and skinny to look good in one.

Yep, definitely not just you. They only look flattering on women with flat bum and tum and seriously boyish hips.

Yes op I agree - I've just donated mine to a charity shop as it was unflattering but couldn't work out why - you've hit the nail on the head.
