OP posts:
TheGoddessBlossom · 30/07/2011 09:13

Frey I love "Beauty", can't remember who makes it, will check in bathroom in a min, DSis got it for me for Chrimble, it's really nice, i wear it as an everyday.

BulletWithAName · 30/07/2011 09:14

TheGoddessBlossom Errrrmmmm Mrs CB meant that in jest Hmm

TheGoddessBlossom · 30/07/2011 09:16

Not the way I read it. Sticking Wink after a comment doesn't remove the barb IMHO. Just thought it was unecessary, and clearly the OP did too.

Guitargirl · 30/07/2011 09:18

There are two kinds of Chanel Chance now aren't there? Both are nice.

MrsCampbellBlack · 30/07/2011 09:26

Oh for God's sake - I tried to explain to someone who was clearly new to mn why she was getting the comments she was - but hey - perhaps I'll just ignore it next time.

And I did offer some suggestions as well but hey think what you like.

And obviously I was joking because apparently nothing is forbidden on mn but - you see that was the point of the joke.

I give up sometimes I really do.

MrsCampbellBlack · 30/07/2011 09:28

Oh and Goddess person - how comes my comment gets picked out and yet none of the others - do you have a problem with me perchance? Is it because I am ever so stylish Wink [joke] Oh and a passive aggressive Smile for you too.

Geordieminx · 30/07/2011 09:37

Escada. taj sunset

MrsCampbellBlack · 30/07/2011 09:38

For high summer Bobbi Brown Beach is nice and I also wear Creed Virgin Island Water.

Northumberlandlass · 30/07/2011 09:47

Thanks so much ! Animula, will check out Guerlian today. Am on a mission Grin

JemimaMuddledUp · 30/07/2011 09:57

FWIW I personally thought that my comment and the others which were a bit Hmm about the term "yummy mummy" were worse than MrsCampbellBlack's, who was in all fairness just trying to explain why the rest of us had replied in such a Hmm manner.

BTW my 5 yr old DD calls me her yummy mummy. She probably thinks that there is enough meat on me to keep the family going for a good while in case of zombie attack Grin

SeverusandLilysLoveChild · 30/07/2011 10:02

Gucci envy is nice.

akaemmafrost · 30/07/2011 10:15

MrsCB I didn't read it as you being nasty either.

Paul Smith Summer Rose is my current fave, light and florally and sweet. Also I have managed to get my hands on some Bath and Body Works perfumes while on hols. They are bloomin lovely. You can get them on Ebay, I have White Citrus, Black Raspberry and Vanilla and Lime Verbena and Coconut.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 30/07/2011 10:18

OP are you meaning edt or perfume?

if edt them the lemon verbena from L'occitane is delicious for daytime

BulletWithAName · 30/07/2011 10:25

Yummy Mummy is just the middle class way of saying MILF Grin

animula · 30/07/2011 10:28

Definitely the L'Air de Rien, then - famously described as containing the subtle scent of much-worn knickers.

V. succinct, Bulletwithaname.

ggirl · 30/07/2011 10:33

I love Chanel Beige but it is far too £££ for me .

Surprisingly was really impressed with the M&S scents when I was browsing yesterday, bought their New York one in a teeny bottle for £3 !

animula · 30/07/2011 11:02

ggirl - I really like the Autograph body sprays. Blush and New York are my favourites.

MrsCampbellBlack · 30/07/2011 11:05

Thank you - I seriously didn't intend to be mean.

And I actually have a mug with yummy mummy on it - realises I will now be kicked off s&b forthwith Wink

I still like Eau d'Issey - that was my fave years ago.

Ambernj1 · 30/07/2011 11:07

Yummy mummy is a wanky expression and always makes me think of that insufferably smug Liz Fraser, but I think all of us ladies on S&B are striving to make the best of ourselves so let's be nice to the OP. Also it's pretty obvious MrsCB was trying to help!

Anyway in the spirit the question was asked I second JM Red Rose, it's lovely! I also love Wish by Chopard which is a tricky one to find but v nice - like a less intense Angel. Coco Madamemoiselle is nice for daytime (and reminds me of when I was dating my DH!)

animula · 30/07/2011 11:07

MrsCampbellBlack - I am sure you are a MILF yummymummy. And S and B would be a sorrier place without you. Smile Oh - and I don't use those in a passive aggressive way.

MrsCampbellBlack · 30/07/2011 11:08

I tell you what else is good from m&S and thats the tess daly body glow - I resisted buying it as have an irrational dislike of Ms Daly but its very good. Gives a light golden shimmer.

Ambernj1 · 30/07/2011 11:09

Mademoiselle - I'm not a moron, honest...

MrsCampbellBlack · 30/07/2011 11:09

Oh thank you Animula - if you could only see me now I fear you wouldn't think that.

TattyDevine · 30/07/2011 11:34

I'm sorry I was mean too. I wasn't really intending to be mean to the OP as such - it was more of a "like a lamb to the slaughter" type of evil knowing laugh - plus I was hideously drunk last night... Grin so I didn't check back and explain this last night.

I used to have a Pink Lining "yummy mummy" bag with a cupcake on it. Okay, so it was a "gift" but I did use it for a while so I think you can probably all shoot me now Grin

TattyDevine · 30/07/2011 11:37

Ooh I love Creed Virgin Island water too but its incredibly £££ don't you think for something so clean and coconutty...
