Can you stretch patent leather shoes?

Ordered a 41, naively thinking that because every other pair of 41s I own fits me, that these would too. They do, but they are a bit snug. I would change them for a 42 but there is an 11 week wait on that particular size Angry.

Can I stretch them or will I mess them up?

yes. I got a pair of LK Bennett Idina shoes that were a bit too narrow and i couldn't stretch them at home because of the peeptoe design (there was a thread about it) i took them to my local Timson place and he did a fab job and no damage. they will need to keep them a few days to stretch them slowly. no cracks/damage and so much comfier now!

If you go to any cobblers they will be able to sell you a spray which you spray on the inside and then wear, to stretch the shoes. I have used this several times as I am between sizes, and it works well.
