Foundation application....brush, sponge or fingers ?

Hey, am all booked in for my MAC make over on Saturday. I am very excited and thinking about all things foundation..concealer (v red thread veins on my cheeks), primer, foundation & powder.

Looking around it seems I am committing a crime by applying my current foundation with my fingers. I could see how sponges would be ok, but ladies seem to complain about them soaking up too much of the foundation. So that brings me to brushes....

Do many of you use them ? What are the benefits? How exactly do you do it ?

I use a brush then smooth in with my fingers. Seems to work for me (I hope)

Not sure what the benefits are, I agree that sponges soak up too much which is why I don't use them.

you certainly need less with a brush......you waste a lot of product with fingers/sponge.

If you have red veins - look at Bisque by Bare Minerals - amazing stuff MUCH better than any MAC concealors ime.

Thanks for the tip Valium.. I'm not planning to buy everything from MAC. The issue is, I like my freckles but NOT my thread veins, so would like something to cover the veins but let my freckles shine through. Not sure if that is possible !

It is with Bare Minerals - check it out, it's really good.

I use a brush at the moment and am converted. I used to use sponges but they soak up loads.

I just kind of paint it on if you like!! then blend well around the bottom of chin / jaw line.

If you are having a make over tho I suspect they will show you how and give you top tips.
