How to hide dark circles on indian skin?

I have light brown skin with very dark circles thank sto my 8 month dd. Can anyone recommend to help me hide these. Someone mentioned to me Touche Eclat or Garnier Roll???

Avoid touche eclat at all costs! It rarely suits any one especailly asian skin because of the pink tone, not flattering. Bobbi Brown is your best bed. She specialises in Asian and black skin better than all other brands.

Go somewhere like MAC or Illamasqua and get them to try an orange, peach or violet neutraliser before putting on a concealer. Depending on what the background colour is to your dark circles different neutralisers will work. If you live in London, the best MAC shop to go to is the Pro Store, which carries a larger range, including professional products not available on the other counters. The Pro Store is the one based on Fouberts Place just off Carnaby St.

If you don't live in London or can't get to any of these counters you can also experiment with mixing a very small amount of orange or peach lipstick (obviously not shimmery!) in with your usual under eye concealer or foundation and see how that works for you. Little pro tip for you

A peach eyeshadow as a base will help with neutralising darkness on the lids themselves.

I currently dont use a concealer, just NARS foundation and powder. I went down the NARS route as its the only makeup which I dont find oily on my skin.

Well try a concealer then. Nars do concealer too. They may even do neutralisers too, I don't remember. But if not, get a warm peach toned concealer and if necessary add a bit more warmth with the peach/orange mix I suggested. Or go into Space NK or a Nars counter and ask one of the make up artists to help you out.

It probably won't help just using a concealer the same colour as your foundation as it will make the circles look greyish.

hi. I have dark skin (and even darker circles) and I use the bobbi brown corrector in Peach before using Golden concealer. not so convinced about their concealer (settles into lines despite setting with a little powder) but the corrector is excellent. am sure you could use another brand over.

I also use tiny amount of ysl touché éclat in shade 3 right in inner corner to lighten.

You'd have more luck with a liquid one than a cream as the thickness of the cream makes it more likely to gather into lines and also less able to absorb powder. The liquid ones seem to dry a little once applied so you don't need to powder them as much to set them. Try something like MAC Pro Longwear concealer, EL Doublewear (although not sure if they do dark shades), or I've heard good things about Ellis Faas. The new Illamasqua skin base foundations are quite good as under eye concealers too. As it's just been launched they have samples in for people to try so if you can get to a counter see if you can get them to give you a sample in the right shade.

Hey even i have indian skin. My mom use to recommend cutting cucumber pieces and put it on top your eyes. Its so soothing & relaxing.

havingkittens-thanks for tips. I normally use the MAC moisturising concealer (comes in a lip gloss type tube). quick query though, the MUA matched me as a NW35 (I normally would use a NC4 base) and when I asked her why she was using an NW shade rather than a NC shade she said it was to cancel out the dark circles - is that the same principle as using a peach toned corrector? and if that is the case should I not be using that over my BB corrector? do i need to buy another one to use specifically over the corrector? Gawd am confused now

Using a warmer, peach toned Concealer is the same principle yes. But some people still need a little extra orange neutraliser to get the effect they need.

hi, the garnier tinted eye roll on is great, cant believe no-ones mentioned yet. there is a thread about it further up page. for u the medium or dark shade should be absolutely fine. really, give it a try its brilliant! i too have major dark circles due to small baby and it really helps!
