Can those of you who have beautiful red curly hair please make your profiles available for me to have a nosey...

I have big, red, curly hair - sometimes I get annoyed with it because I feel like I am stuck somewhere in the eighties!

If you wouldn't mind allowing me to have a look at some of your styles for inspiration, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks

Just watching for my darling red-haired daughter who does not yet know how beautiful she is....

You can have a look at mine - but I would say it is wavy rather than curly tbh. I do have to fight the frizz though.

notyummy - lovely pics of your dd btw :)

Do you tend to wear your hair straight most of the time? It's a nice natural style.

Mine tends to fly away - Rebekah Brooks style :)

And when I wear it straight my face looks fat and long and egg shaped, so I avoid straightening at all costs.

Most of the time I leave it to dry on its own and it is flat on top and curly/wavy at the bottom (like the pic of me in the stripey dress halfway down photos.) I used to straighten but actually don't think it sits me as well, and makes me look a bit dated now as well! What products have you tried?

As you can see, DD is another proud red head! She will probably go through the stage of hating it when she starts to get teased (I did a bit at primary school) but I am hoping she will eventually see it as an asset. On balance it has been a positive thing for me, and I have always got quite a few compliments on it. Starting to get a few grey hairs in there now as the big 40 looms!

I feel your pain op! One of the best styles I had was a bit similar to SJP's curly, short do, see the small pic on the right in the link
www.handbag.com/beauty/celebrity/makeover/changing-look-sarah-jessica-parker-68475
The only difference was I had a side parting rather than centre, so a straighter piece of hair swept across my forehead then and went into curls. It suited me cos I have a long neck but it's v hard to maintain cos hair grows so fast.. no interest in going to hairdresser every month!

The bigger question for me is what colour to use to match auburn hair when the greys/whites come in?

On that link, if you scroll once to the right, the 'do' I'm talking about is the one on the right.

Jenny Mcalpine (Fizz from Corrie) on Loose women. Her hair is absolutely gorgeous. Envy

applecrumble - people say I look like Fiz! I can't see it of course but we have the same hair :)
