How do you know what size you are?

Wondering how people can confidently state their size and order things given how all over the place uk sizing seems to be these days, mostly getting bigger and bigger depending where you shop.

Obviously this is ok when you have time to try lots of things on, or if website gives you actual measurements but is v annoying to check size guides and be told that a medium is a 10-12 or whatever.

It's easy. I am the size of the smallest thing in my wardrobe that currently fits!

Anything that is marked bigger than that size is a mere anomaly.....

Haha! Think my way is nicer as start at biggest size am likely to need and work down, marginally less demoralising.
