Facial Hair - Need Help!

Ugh. Ever since I've been in my teens I've had a v. slight moustache. Not many hairs, but they're very dark and noticeable, so I have them waxed once a month.

Now in my mid-thirties I'm sure it's getting worse, and I seem to have a few below the bottom lip too.

It's awful. I feel so masculine. :(

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can minimise hair growth. I once mentioned it to my GP who agreed that there was "texture", but that there's nothing I can do, other than "shave" Hmm

I've tried electrolysis (I think about 10 sessions) and it made no difference at all.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Have you tried bleaching them?
I have always had a tiny Tom Selleck stylee moustache and am too much of a wimp to wax/pluck/thread etc.
Bleaching seems to reduce the noticeability and I've now started to do my chin too (thanks for those hairs DS!) - the people who invent an immediate and permanent removal system will make a fortune!

My friend had her's lasered - NOT the same as electrolisis and was DELIGHTED with the result. She said it only works on dark hair so you would be perfect and she wishes she'd had it done years ago.

All my hag hairs are white so won't work on me Sad

I also have the tache problem and quite a few on my chin/neck too. Scarily since DC2 I have dark long hairs on my upper back and shoulders Shock. I have always been very hairy though even though I am fair. My legs/bikini line if let unchecked resemble that of a man. Was tested for PCOS when I was 16 and the blood test was positive but the ultrasound was negative Hmm. So they left it at that really. Might get tested again I think.

I am sorry to hear that you have not had success with electolysis. I think that it depends on the skill of the therapist so if you think about giving it another go find a therapist who is very experienced and you should see results, but the hair growth has to be at the right stage to get a "bulb" so you can expect to have several sessions.
