bought a lovely crinkle-2-part-top from Next.

it has a a camisole and a crinkled over-bit that you tie.

i washed it and accidently sent both bits off to the ironing lady.....she ironed both bits

i stuffed it into a sock and washed it but it still isn't crinkled.

how can i get back the crinkles??

Wash it and twist it up when wet and allow it to dry like that. Worked for dd's dress although it was never quite as good IYKWIM

have you tried twisting it when its wet? lay it flat then start to twist at one corner until its all completely twisted in a log shape and leave to dry.

Wash it again with other clothes and leave it in the washing machine for a few hours with the other clothes. After that, take it out and maybe stick a heavy book on top of it.

This is the sort of thing my mother spends ages ironing!!! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH

Smurfgirl · 26/11/2005 15:46

Twist it when it comes out the washing machine and leave it to dry like that. Then tie it in a knot and store it like that.

AuntyQuated · 26/11/2005 15:49

i have twisted it as bosscat descibes and left it to dry on the radiator.
i can't decide whether slow drying or quick drying would be best.
if this doesn't work i will do the same only slow dry

thanks

Once its dried, even if it doesn't look as crinkled as when you bought it, try it on anyway. It may look better on than on the hanger.

still uncrinkled?? did you tie it really really tight? I do it like a corkscrew. I've ironed mine by mistake and re-done it and its been okay. hmmmmm.
