GHD's worth the money???

I am considering buying some GHD's as my old straightners are playing up. Are they worth the money? Are there any alternatives that are as good but cheaper?. On the boots/argos website other straightners are getting pretty good reviews, some saying that other straightners are as good if not better than GHd for half the money - any views appreciated.

Babyliss pro230 get reviews on a par with ghd's - worth looking at. You can get them for £30-40.

And I gave Babyliss pro230...love them and can curl too.

Used the Babyliss Pro, bought it new, sold it and got second hand ghds. Its very good ....but ghds are brilliant.

My GHD's are one of the best things I've ever bought.

GHD's are worth every penny. I've got 3 sets now. The first set are about 6 years old and still going strong.

Get GHDs now and save yourself the expense of buying a cheaper set and then buying the GHDs as they're rubbish.

Yes - absolutely. I swithered and swithered about spending the money 6 years ago, but my GHDs are still going strong and they aer just great, miles better than any other straighteners I've tried (and I'd been through a few pairs before!)

Thanks for all your replies, must admit I have been tempted by the babyliss ones too, as they are cheaper, but have really always wanted a pair of ghds and finally have the cash. Thankls for the Amazon link, I was thinking of getting them from a hairdressers (problem with waiting), are they likely to be genuine?

They are from Amazon direct not a marketplace seller so they will be fine. You can get next day delivery for free if you do a trial of Amazon Prime too - just have to remember to cancel it before 30 days.

i've just bought corioliss ones from sallys (£59) and they are fab,much better on my hair than the ghd's and half the price :)

Definitely! Buy them off the website and you get a guarantee for a year. They are so much better than anything else around!

I got my GHD's off the GHD Website, they arrived in 2 working days, and they are under warrenty, any problems and they replace them with a new pair. (not sure if this is one or two years), I have two sets now and wouldn't use anything else, I have had cheaper sets but when my hair was quite short they were okay, but on longer hair GHD's (IMO) are the best.
