Refunds on products causing irritation

Has anyone returned products for a refund or exchange?

Bought Bobbi brown eye shadow today and within minutes my eye lids were itching. I have some very slight eczema at times but my current make up- Dior- is no problem at all.
This is the 2nd time this has happened. A couple of years back the same thing happened- different type of eye shadow- still BB. I sold the others on Ebay but quite honestly, buying from John Lewis, I'd like to ask for a refund.

They might do it as a goodwill gesture, they're often very good like that but I don't think you have any legal rights to refund or exchange as the product is not faulty per se.

No harm in asking!

I'd be happy to have another product such as their concealer which I use and love. It's disappointing.

I have taken beauty products back (to John Lewis too) and I've had refunds or exchanges. Take it back, they will sort it out.
