It's too fine/ big/ loose/ saggy. I don't want to end up giving to my 4 yr old DD but I'd like to make it a bit neater fitting/ thicker handling/ not so loose. So I reckon it needs a 30 degree cotton wash?! or 40 degrees Will report back in a bit...

I would start with a cool wash. It shrunk all of mine in a one-er - on the 'delicate' cycle (my arse!), which was fine when my sister was a size 6. Unfortunately she is now a size 16.

How did it go FMG?

I washed my brora cashmere socks with the hoi paloi, by mistake - they were completely unaffected, they are only 65% cashmere though

I have washed my Brora cardy on a normal 40C wash. I did it by accident and my heart nearly stopped when I realised, but luckily it came out fine so I always wash my cashmere in the machine now.
