how much do you want to spend??

(gap's not bad if you don't want to spend a fortune?)

nailpolish · 24/11/2005 12:58

how much do you want to spend? oasis have the most gorgeous bags just now, one called the padlock bag is an exact copy of the chloe paddington, everyone has been banging on about it on telly, in mags, etc, ony £50

i have also seen a lot of velvet bags around, tesco have a nice one!

hunkermunker · 24/11/2005 12:59

Oh yes, a budget...er, well, it's hopefully going to be a pressie... About £50-75? My last one was a tenner in a sale! Am not a pricey-bagged kinda gal, I'm afraid.

one word...Coccinelle....yummy

Top Shop have brilliant ones in, Mango as well.

Debenhams designer range (Matthew Williamson, Jasper Conran etc) are good but may be a bit £££.

hunkermunker · 24/11/2005 13:03

I seem to go for very plain bags - I'm scared of ones with lots of detail or patterns as I never seem to know if I'm carrying something gorgeous or hideous

hunker there's a great selection on red direct here

I have never ordered from them but they have loads of nice stuff

FrenchKissUnderMistletoeGirl · 24/11/2005 13:21

or there's always john lewis

I would steer clear of logos, fur, velvet and get a nice leather one myself

nailpolish · 24/11/2005 13:25

is it for you hm or someone else?

hunkermunker · 24/11/2005 15:37

Thank you - going to check out those links now. What colour leather do people favour? My current one's brown, but I've gone off the shade (too light). I don't particularly like fabric bags as I always drop them in puddles or something. I'm quite dopey.

NP, yes, tis for me.

Quite like this Gap one. Don't know if they have it in UK shops though...

Agree with Red Direct bags - they look gorgeous.

Also like this Boden one in chocolate, but it is suede.

Try looking at shoe shops as they often have great ranges (especially in leather).

fairydust · 24/11/2005 16:57

next have some nice ones

Hulababy · 24/11/2005 17:00

Radley handbags on this link {http://www.leathershop.co.uk/manufacturer.asp?ID=14&catID=3\here}. Site also does other makes at reduced prices.

I have just had reciept of 2 Radley purses from here. Arrived quickly and both purses are exactly as ordered. At least one of MNetter has used this site before.
