Is there/is there going to be a backlash against the current shiny/groomed/perfect look?

Following on from the Kate Moss thread, really. I was reading the fashion section of the Guardian as well, and there were two articles (one by the ever-brilliant Hadley Freeman) slagging off fashion magazines' obsession with "the bikini body".

Fashion itself is being quite odd at the moment, and we're coming out of a recession, which usually spells change ahead. Is there an end in sight for over-straightened hair, the ubiquitous slimy orange tan and blue-white teeth?

Well you'd hope that today's youth harbour enough creativity and spark to tire of looking indistinguishable from the next plasticised girl, but who knows?
