Quick moroccan oil questions

nothruroad · 04/07/2011 13:37

I've just succumbed to the miracle that is moroccan oil. I can't stop walking past mirrors and swishing my hair like in that really annoying advert! I have a couple of questions though. Normally I use a heat protector spray (I blow dry and straighten hair daily). Should I use this as well as the oil? If so before or after? And finally (so I can prepare myself) is this a miracle product that lasts for a week and then stops working leaving me empty and distraught? Will my moroccan oil join the graveyard of unused hair products in my bathroom? Thanks.

Grin Grin so happy I posted twice!

DukesOfTripHazard · 04/07/2011 14:16

I'm very very happy. School mates thought the woman walking down the road coudn't be me, because of the young person hair.

Godammit, it WAS me.

PinotsEvilTwin · 04/07/2011 14:33

Oh Dukes that is crazy good!!

Bought some more today as I'm down to my last 10% I reckon. £26.99 incl P&P from Amazon.

nothruroad · 04/07/2011 14:43

Thanks everyone, you have made me very happy! Going to stand in front of the mirror again ...

Oooh I keep hearing about this stuff, what does it do?

trunkybun · 04/07/2011 17:30

Sorry for being moronic; How do you use it?

LuckyMrsT · 04/07/2011 19:32

My hair is fine, will it make it go greasy?

RichTeaAreCrap · 04/07/2011 19:48

no it won't LuckyMrsT, just make sure you only use a tiny amount of it, it goes a long way.

Mumelie · 08/07/2011 12:33

Oh my I love this stuff!!!! Grin
Bought a small bottle on ebay after reading all the threads here on Moroccan oil, tried it today for the first time and WOW - no straighteners needed on my hideously kinky hair Shock. Its smooth and staying in style, even after a dash through the rain!
I bought the light version as I have fine blonde locks, I assume the full strength stiff is probably even better?

NigeltheFuckwit · 08/07/2011 12:35

I've just bought the shampoo and conditioner to go with my oil. Am also having a "swish" monent. Smile

fglitter · 08/07/2011 14:49

Doesn't work that great for me. Can't understand all the positive reviews - wish it had done that to my hair! Same effect on me as siliconey serums... maybe my hair's too thick? Macadamia oil however seems to work a lot better - will persevere with it.

valiumredhead · 08/07/2011 14:55

I have been using Morrocan oil for about 6 months now but have just ditched in favour of Tigi blow out balm from the catwalk range - it's FAB stuff! My hairdresser uses it after the oil but at home I just use it on it's own. It's about £9 from Amazon.

NigeltheFuckwit · 08/07/2011 16:38

Valium I do not need any more rave-reviewed hair products thank you [stern look]

valiumredhead · 08/07/2011 18:21

No, really, you do - it's miracle stuff! Wink

wileycoyote · 08/07/2011 22:58

What kind of hair misfortune is it meant to remedy/circumnavigate?
