Why can I no longer buy clothes for myself ?? Went out today with the intention of buying a couple of tops and a nice pair of jeans, oh and a cardigan/shrug thingy.

Saw loads and loads and loads of stuff I liked, but just couldn't decide so came home empty handed.

I am trying to smarten myself up a bit. Am fed up of jeans and plain t'shirt everyday and want to look nice, pretty, feminine..whatever the word is. bit I just end up thinking i'll look stupid and don't buy it.

Nice jeans, nice fancyish but not ott tops and a nice cardi thing thats all I want.

Oh i did buy a bag, maybe i should wear that.

If it helps, I am 27, 5'2, 10-12 and don't like my budget is cheap

Will be in and out doing the T incase you wonder why i don't reply straight away.

just BUY STUFF! lol
i do the same thing... find things i like and then think "oh i'll look silly/never wear it" and don't get it

buy it, and tell yourself that if it looks silly you can take it back... you will get it home and realise it is fab!

I hate shopping for myself. Always feel guilty afterwards. Went to Primark one day and bought myself a couple of tops really enjoyed it, then came home and felt really miserable! I love buying for everyone else though and show it all off happily!

Yes I feel guilty too, even though I desperatly need some new tops.

There was this cardy in one shop that I stood and looked at for at least 15 minutes. I liked it alot but wasn't sure if it was too fancy for every day wear. It was brown, longer on the one side and then it crossed over and tied up at the side with ribbon. I think it was the ribbon I was unsure of tbh.

I just want to look like i've made an effort instead of looking like i chucked on the first thing i got out of the cupbaord.

go and get it! try it on at home, show it to a friend...

i find that once i have bought one thing then i can easily go and buy loads more.. it's taking the plunge! lol

sdo you have a friend who could go with you and egg you on?

Nutcracker - New Look is quite reasonable and I saw loads of nice stuff in there the other day - lovely deep blue shrugs and nice jeans, belts and accessories. Also lots of jumpers that are quite smart.
