"The UGG classic tall boots are very pop among women"

Are they a fake site or something??

Purplebuns · 27/06/2011 19:37

I don't know if they are fake, I wouldn't personally trust it tbh

OK, maybe a silly question...

Obviously not the pink ones, but do you think Uggs will be totally passe by next winter? Its just that they do look comfy and fairly practical, and at that price they are reasonable. I'm not actually that fashionable (hey, I own boot cut jeans and block heeled boots!) but I don't want to walk round in the footwear equivalent of the shell suit...

winnybella · 27/06/2011 19:39

It's a fake.

madammecholet · 27/06/2011 19:39

UGG is for UGGGLY

JemimaMop · 27/06/2011 19:40

Oh hang on, just read the wording (thanks purple) and agree that it looks fake.

Purplebuns · 27/06/2011 19:56

John lewis had a couple of types reducedthis one isn't too bad. I think if you are not too bothered they are fine.
I live in the sticks and would have my aigle wellies admired more than anything else and I wear a fair amount of joules so fit right in, however if I was in a city I think everyone would recognise me as a country bumpkin Wink

Uggs are comfy. I use mine mainly for around the house, where obviously I don't really care if my actual feet look stylish, because I'd be wearing some kind of slippers no doubt if I weren't wearing uggs, and unless you have the high heeled pom pom sort (!) or wear street shoes, you are going to look kind of relaxed at home anyway.

I occasionally pop to the shop for a pint of milk or do the morning school run in them if I'm not going somewhere straight afterwards.

Not that I'm justifying wearing Uggs to anyone - they are warm and comfortable, so in winter there is nothing to justify, however, if anyone has been pondering a pair of Uggs and is worried about the style element, if you consider those uses, you don't really need to ponder it too deeply, and you too will be able to enjoy the immense warmth and comfort.

By the way, you don't have to pay £140 for "real" Uggs, just make sure they are genuine sheepskin and have a reasonably firm bit of hold around the back/heel area.

Purplebuns · 27/06/2011 21:49

There not the sort of thing you would wear to a fancy restaurant and they are not going to turn you into a style icon, if you are not under either illusion you are fine imo :o
