Which serum?

I had a makeover at Bobbi Brown yesterday and the "artiste" was very enthusiastic about their serum. He told me I really needed it to stop my freckles all joining together.
The serum felt nice but is much pricier than the Protect and Perfect that I use when I remember.
So, I was wondering, which is the best serum according to the Mumsnet jury?

I like protect & perfect, also use genefique which is ££ but lasts ages and had made s difference. Sali Hughes did a column on serums recently, I'll try to link

Boots also make another serum, in their Time Delay range, which I was told is the same as Protect and Perfect but it's cheaper so I use that. I did once try to compare the ingredients and it was only the last 2 of loads that were slightly different

depends if you're talking oil based or water based serum - one of the best is Oskia (water based) but it's not cheap

Thanks, that article is good.
Is it pretty much, you get what you pay for?

I use bio oil as a serum, it seems to take all the pinkness out of my skin.
