I need a dress for a wedding, was thinking maybe maxi?

I need some advice. I am going to 2 weddings this year. One in 4 weeks time and another in September. I need to find an outfit/dress preferably to wear to both although not essential. I was thinking maybe a Maxi dress and have tried this on. It fitted over my biggish boobs and hides my tummy (I am a 14-16), but I'm not sure. What would I wear with it, is it weddingy enough? Could do with some S&B advice

The cut is very nice but I'm not keen on the pattern.

What colours do you like/suit?

I tend to go for blue. I have a lot of blue! I have fair hair and a fair complexion. I also tried this one on which my friend preferred on me at the time but I wasn't so sure.

I think the Phase Eight one is nicer. The first one is very summery (and a bit loud - sorry). You could wear the second one to the September wedding too as it's more season-neutral.

I'm afraid I really don't like that first dress, the phase eight one is better but a bit dull. TBH underwear makes or breaks any outfit, investing in spanx and a good bra is well worth it, even if you then have less to spend on the dress its self.

I wore this in navy rose to a wedding at the weekend I too am a size 14/16 and 5'6.

It felt amazing, really flattering round the tummy and will def wear again.

Oh, you said already. The pink one, ah, I've gone right off that . Had the laptop scree at an odd angle and thought the print was much subtler than it is. Another soft pink shift would be good. Will have a quick look befor e bed.

Of the maxis I still prefer the coast one.

nope - but got a bit of a sore neck from the knot in the halter neck so may be worth it if like I appear to you have heavy knorks!
