I've got a very posh dinner dance next Saturday and need a nice dress preferably in teal or red with shoes and bag to match (and what to wear over it)

I've not been out somewhere this posh in ages and want to treat myself at preferably less than £200. Any fairy godmothers out there who can point their wand in the right direction?

Have you treid Debenhams - they often have a few ranges. Or House of Frazer?

Pagan · 20/11/2005 13:23

Shall give them a go - I'm going to have to shop with a lively toddler and a 10 month old in a double buggy - gulp!!!

So I want to be able to just go straight to a shop that I know has what I'm looking for and where I can get the matching bits for also

what size are you?

Why not check the web sited first and then you wont have to spend ages looking round. Monsoon have some nice dresses but they are all between a 100 - 160 pounds.

8 to 10 depending on the dress. It's my first posh do in ages and after having the kids so I really want to feel good. I look a right mess just now with hair half fallen out and no tits. I've lost too much weight and look like a stick. Tried on a couple this morning on a shop that does second hand designer stuff but either too big or too tight or too old looking - pook!

Shall try Debs this afo

Just wanted to say thanks for the tips - Cinders shall go to the ball.

Got me frock in Debenhams, matching shoes and jewellery in Next, a bag in John Lewis. Dress bought on one outing, the rest done this morning. Both visits to shops very quick and kids girned for only a wee while.

Off to scrub out the fireplace and peel the potatoes now.........sings "someday my prince will come...."
