body wraps, are they worth it?

I'm going on holiday in two weeks, and am considering a body wrap to make me look less like a whale. Would anyone recommend one or is it too good to be true?!

If you are flying to your holiday destination then the wrap will make little difference as most of us experience a degree of swelling in the body tissue at altitude.

Personally, I would recommend spending the next two weeks getting your skin into great condition and having a mani/pedi so that you feel more confident in your own skin.

Use a gentle exfoliator and a good moisturiser daily. On a budget I would recommend Palmer's Cocoa Butter which works a treat in smoothing skin - especially any stretchmarks etc. Mid-range, Nivea do a skin-smoothing range of moisturisers - I think they were called Q10? And a range which are supposed to slim the legs, waist and hips.

Alternatively, Mama Mio do a fab range of skin care which is pricey but works a treat and is all natural.

My mother recently had a wrap, cost £90 and she said it was a total waste. I think for a holiday you'd be better having a mani/pedi and a spray tan. A tan takes about 1/2 stone off you!!Grin

Ah ok, thank you! I thought as much!

I've been using st tropez gradual tanner which is fabulous. And I'm trying to lose some weight and do lots of exercise to reduce the dreaded cellulite.....

Thanks Smile
