Babyliss big hair

I am thinking about getting the babyliss but hair, but at nearly 50 quid it is a risky purchase as it may just be pants for me/my hair. I have seen something similar from Tresemme for about half the price. I wondered if anyone had tried any such cheaper alternatives and how were they?

I am sooo tempted by the Babyliss but have tried a rotating haircrush thingy that you used with your own hairdryer (rubbish!) and remember the hot air stylers of the 1980s (also rubbish!) so have been holding back. DD tried cheaper straighteners but nothing works like GHDs

Personally I think cheaper versions are often cheaper for a reason

I know, I know. I had 2 cheaper pairs of straighteners which frankly were guff, so eventually coughed up for the GHDs and 6 years later I have never regretted it.

dont bother- never use mine as it made my hair fuzzy, and takes ages (after part drying with hairdryer as well)

Definatly get one, my hair is thick, heavy and straight, so a nightmare at adding any kind of volume to it, but i did this and it lasted till dinner time, believe me thats a miracle for me, i spend all evening curling my hair to leave 5 mins later with poker straight hair. the best purchase i have ever made!

I use hairdryer until almost dry then finish with BBH.

I have soft, fine hair and I cannot say it gives me BIG hair but it is glossy and straight without being GDH straight.

Sorry to jump in and hijack. My hair is shortish but with some volume on the top, fine and soft so would you say that it is probably not right for me?

Hmm probably not- mine is just below jaw length and thats prob the shortest. the brush is big- wish they'd bring out a smaller one actually

Would heartily recommend - super product, always feels more groomed. had mine 6 months, however it blew up yesterday! 3 year guarantee is great, but temped to buy another whilst I wait for replacement (bought from Amazon), really don't want to be without it. I have very thick just on shoulder length hair.

it's awesome. get it if you have long hair. it means I can now do my own hair almost as well as the hairdresser can - so happy with mine.

I LOVE mine! I got it this week. I have an ear length bob and it does work but will get better as my hair gets longer. I particularly like how it deals with my fringe!

I find my hair gets tangled and I end up yanking it out where it's got stuck. I have wavy thick hair past my collarbone.

Spin it in the opposite direction when it gets stuck Vulgar. t. Pull the brush through your hair whilst the head is spinning round rather than letting hair wrap around the brush.

Ah ha! I think I'm going wrong with the spinning/moving action.

Vulgar you may not be sectioning off a small enough piece- I find mine can get tangled if I try to curl too much round brush. But yes dont have a whirring the whole time
