Will these Evans shoes/sandles/shoe-boot things work on a non-plus size me?

My feet are horrendously wide - they match the measurements for Evans extra wide. I always have to pay a fortune for footwear and I'm still stuck with just flip flops, birkenstocks or full on boots. It's a right PITA and makes it pretty feking hard to dress nicely, particularly for going out, I always have to start with footwear and work up

Anyway, I quite like the look of these - they're a bit odd and kinky but so am I. The thing is the ankle measurement for Evans extra wide is more than 10cm bigger than my ankle, but, it's taken above the ankle bone and these don't come anywhere near that.

I wouldn't bother asking and just try them but it's an international order and I can't really afford to buy them at all, let alone throw away international postage x2 for nothing.

Oh, and (assuming that they would work) should I go for the red (which I love) or boring old black because it goes with so much more. Or, should I say balls to finances and get both?

i am a 12-14 with size 8-9 wide feet. i buy lots of shoes from evans, in store and on line. i think i return about half of my online purchases becuase they have been too wide or frankly shitty quality. i wear their ballet shoes to death.

Thanks. I can't wear ballet pumps, I get a minnie mouse type gape going on. I must have tried 1000s of pears of ballet pumps / courts / mary janes over the years and they never work. If was in teh UK I'd try their jazz pumps, they look like they might work. Can't tell if they're cute or damn awful from the photo...

My feet are spot on their measurements for a 7 extra wide (I'm an 8-10 dress) so the width shouldn't be a problem, am just worried about the top part.

Oh, and I usually have to pay 100 / 120 euros plus for boots that fit, these are leather. WOuldn't bother for man made uppers.

I am a size 10 so most of my shoes are from Evans. Frustratingly though my feet are the one part of me that isn't wide. so i find most of them slip off.

I would say that if you are wide of foot then it is certainly worth a shot, especially as they will be cheaper than you normally pay.

Mmm, OK, I think I'm just going to have to risk it.

Oh yes definitly go for it if you like them.

they certainly don't shout "fat shoe" to me.

And i don't think it is a cut that would gap at the ankle the way some calf height boots can.
