To dye or not to dye?

I am wondering whether to dye my hair again.

Haven't had it done for at least 6 months and the grey is shocking! Have been colouring my hair for at least 10 years so haven't seen it's true colour for a while.

Things have got bad or have they - perhaps I should let it grow out and be grey????

If not can anyone recommend a home dye - can't afford hairdresser at mo.

Thnaks

Friend of mine I hadn't seen for 6 months let her dye grow out and had hair cut short. She looked truly stunning. Is petite and elfin and can get away with it. Think it depends on what sort of grey it is.

well I am definitely not petit or elfin....

it seems to be quite white/grey

If you are gonna dye it, check around for salons who need models..a friend of mine does my hair regularly for free as she is training as a hair dresser.. some places charge a minimal fee -maybe £5. Dont know prices of home hair dye in comparison to that..

Mine's too grey for dye to cover it for more than 5 minutes. So I have it professionally high/low lighted.

does anyone under 70 let their grey show these days?

I agree, white grey (not chip-fat yellow grey) is lovely, v becoming (provided it is short, not long).

just I thought will find some cash and visit the hairdressers........

I have a very elfin looking friend who can't weigh more than 8 stone who has always had very dark, almost black hair and is 35. In the last 2 years, she has been letting her silver white highlights show-she can just about get away with it as is an extrovert and an aerobics instructor-I.personally,think it ages her incredibly and, silently, wonder to myself why she doesn't die it.

Take from that what you will!

right will definetly sort it out.....

think I need a hairdresser to cover it all over though....
