thick ankles, chunky legs - help me find an outfit

I'm going to a wedding this summer and I need inspriation for an outfit. I'm a plus size, reasonably in proportion on my top half, but I have very chunky calves and ankles so I never expose them.

I'm thinking maybe a dress with trousers underneath? Would that work? Any ideas or links anyone?

Yes as maxi dresses go ,that one is nice

That's very nice Puffling. Not sure if it might be a bit darker than what I had in mind though. Any more suggestions?
